Question: Can I bring my dog on board the Baltimore Water Taxi, Harbor Connector, Harbor Trolley, or Harbor Cruise?
Answer: Yes, dogs are allowed on board our Harbor Trolley, Harbor Cruise, and Private Charter vessels. However, according to the United States Coast Guard, dogs are considered passengers on commercial passenger vessels and count towards the vessel's approved maximum capacity. No additional passengers, including dogs or service animals, will be allowed to board if a vessel reaches capacity.
Only service animals are allowed on the Harbor Connector, which is considered Public Transportation. A service animal is a dog individually trained to do work or perform tasks for a person with a disability. The functions performed by the service animal must be directly related to the person's disability. Please note that emotional support animals, comfort animals, and therapy dogs are not considered service animals under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
